LAKONIA. Lakedaimon (Sparta). Circa 40s BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 20 mm, 5.37 g, 7 h). Diademed and draped bust of Lakedaimon to right. Rev. Λ-A Eagle standing right with closed wings; to left, monogram; to right, ΦI. BCD Peloponnesos -. Grunauer XVI, Series 1, 11.2 (this coin). Attractive green patina. The obverse a bit weak, otherwise, very fine.
